NEXTRON Celebrates 40 Years of Growth, Transformation, and Innovation
Founded in 1986, NEXTRON marks its 40th anniversary this year. To commemorate this milestone, the company hosted an internal celebration where Chairman Hsu reflected on four decades of growth and transformation—highlighting how NEXTRON has navigated market challenges, reached key strategic turning points, and positioned itself for future opportunities in AI, advanced medical technologies, and emerging industries.
Looking back, Chairman Hsu identified the 2008 global financial crisis as a defining moment in the company's history. Through organizational restructuring and strategic resource integration, and with Kevin Chen joining as General Manager, NEXTRON embarked on its first major transformation, gradually strengthening its operational foundation. In 2018, the company further expanded its strategic partnerships, followed by the introduction of its MATIC strategy in 2019, which established five core market segments. These initiatives broadened NEXTRON's application portfolio and supported its continued growth.
With Brian Lai assuming the role of General Manager in 2026, NEXTRON has entered a new chapter. Building on decades of expertise in precision interconnect technology and system integration, the company continues to strengthen its R&D and manufacturing capabilities while expanding into high-growth markets, including AI computing infrastructure, advanced medical technologies, humanoid robotics, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). These initiatives aim to diversify revenue streams and create new opportunities for long-term growth.
During his address, Chairman Hsu encouraged employees to embrace challenges, not to fear making mistakes, and to turn every experience into an opportunity to learn and grow. He concluded with a Chinese saying: "When flowers bloom, butterflies will come; when you become your best self, opportunities will follow." His message emphasized the importance of continuous learning, professional development, and dedication to one's work.
Over the past 40 years, NEXTRON has evolved from a traditional connector manufacturer into a provider of advanced interconnect solutions across diverse industries. As the company looks ahead, it remains committed to advancing its precision interconnect technologies, strengthening relationships with customers and partners, and laying the groundwork for its next phase of long-term growth.
