Companionship is the most precious Christmas gift.

24 Dec 2025

For the sixth year in a row, colleagues from Nextron once again spent a warm and unforgettable Christmas with the little angels of the special education class at Jinlong Elementary School. This companionship is not a one-off activity, but a relationship built through time—growing steadily through familiarity, trust, and shared experiences. For the children, it is far more than a single festive day; it is the feeling of being remembered, looked forward to, and gently cared for. For us, it is a journey that brings us back to our original intention and helps us rediscover the true meaning of care and walking alongside others.

In the days leading up to Christmas each year, we participate in the “Adopt an Angel’s Dream” program. By reading the wish cards the children carefully write or draw themselves, we take time to understand the small yet pure dreams held in their hearts. These wishes are sometimes so simple that they touch us deeply—a box of colored pencils, a musical instrument, a toy, or daily necessities that help them become more independent. For us, this is not merely about preparing gifts; it is an opportunity to learn empathy and perspective, allowing us to slowly step into the children’s world and truly see their hopes and emotions.

On Christmas Day, Nextron’s Santa Claus delivers these dreams to the school, accompanied by our colleagues, and spends the day with the children celebrating a festival filled with laughter and joyful surprises. The sparkle in the children’s eyes, their barely concealed anticipation, and their genuine expressions of delight quietly move our hearts every time. This moment is not only about opening gifts—it is a moment when trust and connection are once again affirmed.

Each time we walk into the special education classroom and into the children’s sincere and innocent world, we deeply feel the powerful positive impact that companionship brings. This strength does not come from grand words or fleeting emotions; rather, it is built gradually through repeated moments of sincere interaction and thoughtful care. Through this steady and gentle presence, we hope these special little angels no longer feel alone, and that they know they are seen, understood, and treasured.

Through this companionship, we once again discover the children’s unique light. Some changes may be difficult to define clearly or measure with numbers or standards, yet they quietly and genuinely appear in everyday details—a moment of initiative that encourages a child who once kept their head down to lift their eyes and make eye contact, a shy but heartfelt smile, or a small hand reaching out to connect with others. These subtle yet real signs of progress bring us deep emotion and renewed strength along the journey of companionship.

It is also through these interactions that the children teach us what true patience means, what pure joy feels like, and what unconditional acceptance truly is. In their most honest way, they remind us that the beauty of the world is often hidden in moments that can only be seen when we slow down.

On this shared path, we are not simply givers, but companions growing together. This companionship not only warms the children’s childhoods, but also quietly enriches our own hearts. It reminds us that the most precious gifts are never those wrapped in beautiful packaging, but the willingness to pause, extend a hand, and remain by one another’s side over time. Because walking together and sharing each moment is, in itself, the most precious Christmas gift of all.
