NEXTRON Marks 40 Years of Growth and Leadership Transition | Launching a Second Growth Curve and New Growth Engines

Nextronics Engineering Corp. (TWSE: 8147) held its 2026 Investor Conference on September 30, marking the company’s 40th anniversary. In addition to reporting its latest operating performance, NEXTRON unveiled its growth strategy for the next stage of development. From Chairman Stephen Hsu, who laid the foundation of the company’s connector business, to former General Manager Kevin. Chen, who led the company through years of operations and transformation, and now to General Manager Brian.Lai, NEXTRON is embracing a new phase of development through a carefully planned leadership transition.
The transition represents a continuation of experience and expertise in a new form. Building on decades of industry knowledge and engineering capabilities, NEXTRON is expanding beyond traditional connector manufacturing into high-technology and high-growth applications, officially entering a new stage of “second growth curve creation.” The company is deepening its participation in growth industries including AI, high-speed communications, advanced medical applications, UAVs, and humanoid robotics, while simultaneously expanding both the depth and breadth of its product portfolio.
In terms of operating performance, NEXTRON’s revenue for the first half of 2026 grew 16.7% year over year, while its connector business increased by approximately 46.8%, becoming a key growth engine for the company. Connectors also accounted for 69% of the company’s product mix, further strengthening their role in overall operations.
Looking ahead, NEXTRON expects its electronic packaging business to see significant growth in the second half of the year, while the connector business is expected to maintain its growth momentum. The medical market remains one of the company’s distinctive strengths, with continued investment in electrophysiology ablation and other advanced medical applications. At the same time, NEXTRON is accelerating its expansion into the AI market, building a high-speed communications roadmap from 800G to 12.8T to capture emerging opportunities driven by AI data centers, high-speed switching, and next-generation optical communications.
In emerging industrial applications, NEXTRON is also actively developing opportunities in humanoid robotics and UAVs, two markets with significant growth potential. The company continues to invest in R&D and product development, with R&D and product development personnel now accounting for nearly one-quarter of its workforce. By working closely with key customers through joint development, NEXTRON aims to expand its product capabilities and market reach, while continuing to strengthen its global manufacturing capacity and create new drivers for revenue growth.
